Joshua Wellington Wong

Joshua is a Los Angeles-based pianist and composer currently studying at UCLA with renowned pianist, Tamir Hendelman and grammy award winning artist, Arturo O’Farrill. Joshua graduated with top honors from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts in 2021 under the direction of Alex Hahn and has also performed in the top Jazz ensembles at the Colburn School of Music under the direction of Lee Secard.

He has performed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in award ceremonies honoring Quincy Jones and Bobby Bradford, a Jazz seminar with Herbie Hancock and the US Department of Education, the Hollywood Bowl, the Newport Jazz Festival, and recorded at Capitol Records. Joshua worked at 1908 scoring studios as a composer’s assistant and has worked on multiple feature films and commercials for Netflix and more.

Joshua has received awards in composition, Jazz performance, and ensemble playing from DownBeat Magazine, YoungArts, Spotlight, and numerous other arts foundations. Joshua performs at numerous concert halls, restaurants, hospitals, convalescent homes, homeless shelters, and more. He also enjoys teaching private and group music lessons.
